Q: What are the requirements for the workshop?
A: - Attendance is mandatory.
- You must arrive on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted
- You must be the valid property owner. Proper I.D., showing name and address, will be requested at check-in.
Q: Can I receive a rain barrel if I rent the property?
A: A signed “Permission Note” will be requested at time of check-in. Download the "Permission Note" here.
Q: What is the rain barrel like?
A: The rain barrel that is currently being distributed is a food-grade, recycled rain barrel which holds 55 gallons of water. The barrels are purchased and assembled locally reducing our carbon footprint as well as creating “green” jobs for Philadelphia residents.

Q: Do I have to purchase downspout attachments?
A: The proper attachments are included with the rain barrel.
Q: Do I have to purchase a rain barrel riser?
A: The installation crew will have a supply of cinder blocks for your use. If you would like to construct your own riser, you will need to have it in place on the day of installation.
Q: Can I have more than one rain barrel?
A: Due to the high demand we can only offer one rain barrel per household.
Q: Can you help me install my rain barrel?
A: An installation crew will install your rain barrel on a scheduled date. An ECA representative will contact you to schedule your appointment. You can download a rain barrel installation guide to learn about the installation process.
