Tours

The Philadelphia Water Department and partners periodically offer tours, either to explore the natural history of a watershed, to better understand the buried streams beneath us, or to visit model green stormwater infrastructure projects throughout the City and beyond.

The Philadelphia Water Department enjoys highlighting these innovative projects – whether they be PWD or partner projects. By recognizing and showcasing green stormwater infrastructure projects, we hope to inspire others to replicate similar stormwater management projects.

The next stormwater management project tour, titled “Green Tour,” is scheduled for May 15th. We will visit and learn about local rain gardens, a green roof, porous pavement, and other green infrastructure stormwater management tools. These projects demonstrate the tools the Philadelphia Water Department is endorsing in its newest and boldest plan, Green City, Clean Waters.
